Summer Music Camps
Photos from the 2007 Camp
NHISOM offers two Summer Music Camps for youngs musicians: the Summer Music Day Camp that happens at Moultonborough Academy for kids age 7 to 15; and the overnight music camp that happens at the Nothwoods & Pleasant Valley YMCA Camp on Lake Winnipesaukee for kids in Grades 4-12.
All music camps do not require an audition, are non-competitive, help foster a love of music, improve technique and performance for advanced musicians, introduce young musicians to new concepts (i.e. composition, new instruments, music history, ensemble playing, etc.), and provide each child with a great summer camp experience. The overnight music camp on Lake Winnipesaukee also has great recreational activities which include archery, boating, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding.
Both camps also allow complete beginners to attend. If your child has always wanted to learn how to play an instrument, they can do so by registering for camp as an Introduction to Music program major.
