Noelle Beaudin - Piano & Chamber Groups; Program Director
For many years Noelle Beaudin worked as an independent composer in
Boston, Massachusetts and taught piano and music theory in the greater
Boston area. She attended the Boston Conservatory of Music majoring
in composition and piano performance and is a member of the National Piano Guild. Over the last eight years, she
has worked for various start-up companies as marketing director and
nonprofit companies as executive director. She currently teaches piano
and composition from her studio in Center Harbor and performs in the New England area. She is the founder
and Program Director of the New Hampshire Independent School of Music and coaches the
NHISOM Chamber Ensembles.
Jennifer Hobbs - Violin, Viola, String Ensembles, String Orchestra
Jennifer Hobbs holds an A.B. from Bowdoin College in music and history, and a Master of Music from the University of Connecticut. She performs regularly as a member of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (1999) and performs as a soloist and with other ensembles throughout New England. She studied violin with Paul Kantor (Yale University), Stephen Kecskemethy (Bowdoin College), Thomas Moore (University of Miami, School of Music) and Emlyn Ngai (Hartt School of Music/McGill University & The Adaskin String Trio). Throughout her undergraduate years, she studied quartet performance with members of the Portland String Quartet. Currently, Jennifer is the director of the Kent School Orchestra and Kent's string program. At Kent School, she maintains a private violin and viola studio and teaches various music courses. Jennifer and her husband, Randy (a science teacher and coach at Kent School) live with their two children in Kent, CT, and in Bridgewater, NH during the summer months.
Tim Gilmore - Drums & Percussion Ensembles
A member of Brownstone Recording Artists, the Harry Skoler Jazz Quartet and CCMS Musicians of Wall Street,
Mr. Gilmore has performed with the Cape Ann Symphony, Symphony by the Sea, the Paul Madore Chorale
and Boston Percussion Ensemble. He has also performed with Lester Bowie, Marion McPartland, Fred Hersch,
Tower of Power, Tiger Okoshi and Warren Vache. He received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude
in elementary/music education from Salem State College and pursued further study in composition and jazz
performance at Berklee College of Music.
Matt Langley - Saxophone group, Clarinet Choir, Jazz ensembles
Matt Langley is a saxophonist, and has studied with Lou Marini of Saturday Night Live, David Baker, Ted Dunbar, and Stan Strickland. Since 1988 he has been a member of the Charlie Kohlhase Quintet (CKQ), recording three CDs, touring the United States, and performing in jazz festivals from the Boston Globe Festival to the Rutabega Jazz Jam. CKQ's fourth CD, Dancing on My Bedpost, made the top-10 lists of many jazz critics in 1999. Langley has recorded with Ron Carter, John Medeski, Billy Martin, Chris Wood, Roswell Rudd, and others.
Kyle Masterson - Choir and Voice
Mr. Kyle Masterson, a native of Saratoga Springs, NY, earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Plymouth State University and a Masters Degree in Voice Performance from the New England Conservatory. Kyle is the Director of Performing Arts at Tilton School and serves as the Director of Music at Plymouth Congregational Church in Plymouth, NH. This past year he joined the faculty at Plymouth State University as an adjunct voice teacher. Kyle has performed professionally as a tenor soloist throughout the North East and abroad. His most recent engagements include tenor soloist in Trinity Church of Boston?s performance of St. John Passion, the Evangelist in Bach's St. John Passion with the University of Alabama, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Mozart's Great Mass in C with the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, Mozart's Coronation Mass with the Granite State Symphony, Charpentier's Messe de Minuit Pour Noel with the Concord Chorale, and Bach's St. John Passion with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Jeremy Morse - Guitar
Jeremy is a music technology graduate of Plymouth State University. Originally from Pittsfield, New Hampshire, Jeremy picked up the guitar at an early age. Inspired by the Beatles and Neil Young, eventually Jeremy expanded his playing into blue and roots music, Afro-Cuban and other Latin styles, and jazz. Throughout his teens Jeremy studied with Joe Gattuso at Strings and Things music in Concord, David Tonkin at Concord Community Music School, and later David Rodenburg at NHTI. Jeremy currently studies with Jim Alba at Plymouth State University. Jeremy has performed in jazz ensembles at Plymouth State University for two years and currently performs with the Lakes Region Big Band as well as various jazz and blues projects on the side. Jeremy has performed in theater pit bands for the Papermill Theatre in Lincoln, The Tilton School, Plymouth State Theater, and Moultonborough Academy.
Tom Robinson - Director of Jazz Studies, Jazz Piano, Jazz Ensembles & Improvisation
Tom is adjunct instructor of jazz piano and jazz ensembles at Plymouth
State University. He also teaches jazz piano, saxohpone and directs the jazz band for St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. He is a member of the CCMS Musicians of Wall Street,
and the PSU faculty jazz quartet. He has a busy performance schedule
as a soloist, sideman, and as part of a trio with drummer Tim Gilmore,
and bassist John Hunter. The trio's recording Skylight features original
music. Tom received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Capital
University in Columbus, Ohio.
Don Williams - Orchestra Director, Bass, Rock and Concert Bands
An accomplished conductor and musician, Don Williams is Head of the Bass Performance Studies Department
at Plymouth University. Additionally, he conducts the Plymouth Concert Band and is a very busy musician
in the New England area. |
